36mm doesnt seem that big, when a kids head is about 9 or 10cm? I know ya dont have all the pregnancy juices flowing. Have you tried standard rod style dialators? Did it hurt too much. It would be wonderful to get a fist right up past the cervix. Please post your progress. How did ya go?

Oh well.  If it hurts a bit sometimes ya know your pushing the limits, and to me anyway, it feels good. I know. Everyone is different though.

Haha more than just the juices 1.5 as far as I know the cervix becomes soft leading up to birth and so allows for it to open up, not hard like normal but Im guessing most have other things on there mind at that stage than exploring   Grin

I think the most important question I'd like to see answered here is: is it safe?

The cervix and beyond is a pretty sensitive place that's not generally meant to be exposed to open air, or so I've heard. Mrs. S is pretty interested in the idea of cervical expansion, but from the reading we did, it seemed like beyond the cervix was supposed to be some kind of 'clean room' kind of deal, and may not handle airborn pathogens well without medical complications. At the same time, we've definitely seen at least a few videos of women who seemed to have been having a pretty good time with some cervical play...

Anyone have any links that indicate if cervical play can be done safely or not?
