I'm wondering if any fisters forgo the standard anal safety regulations and insert things fully inside them with no backup, no strings attached, etc. For example a rubber ball. I've seen videos of people putting raquetball sized balls in the ass and pushing them out with control. Does anyone have experience with this?

I have done the same, inserting things in condoms etc and from time to time, something dissapears.  But as long as it is a reasonable shape, it will return under natural causes eventually.  I often loose a silicon dildo (double ended) and have never lost it, because I can push it back through the belly.

Oh yeah! I love to lean back, relax, close my eyes, and savor the sensations of pushing a rubber ball, or a double headed dildo into my hole until it disappears and slowly slides deeper and deeper. I have years and years of experience behind me (pun intended), and I fully agree with footluv777 and fister_n_fistees advise, to which I'll add: Always respect your limits. If you want go larger, do it in baby steps, gradually increasing the width or length of your toys over days or weeks. Roundish objects (balls, fruit, etc.) are usually safe as long as they are not radically larger than your regular toys. Flexible double headed dildos are great.

Again, speaking from experience, don't play with rigid objects, things with flat ends, unusual shapes and angles, things that are easily crushed, bent or broken, or have pointy or sharp edges.

I've had two big time scares. The first was a hard plastic vibrator that somehow slid "round the bend" but got lodged against my tail bone whenever I tried pushing it out. I have been playing with my ass for about 6 years. Not so long ago I got into playing with golf balls. After watching some scenes from the 'Anal Acrobats' series I became less concerned about losing things up there.

Emopandas . . . I know what you mean about how a ball that "tucks in nice and deep." Over the years I've collected balls up to 3 inches in diameter made out of rubber, ceramic, wood, solid glass (like a paperweight), metal, etc. and often have one or two inside me as I go about my day.  I have surprised (shocked?) a few friends who found out some of the places where I've had balls up my ass like work, fancy restaurants, even a nude beach.
