For heavy play, a thick mix of J-lube.  For every day fun, Astroglide.  (We're old folks and need all the help we can get.  Tongue)

Too right Speed, J-Lube is tops, but not too thick.

one part J lube powder by volume to 9 parts sparkling water by volume.
I usually mix half a litre at once, so my volumes are 50 ml of powder to 450 ml sparkling water.
I use a Braun handheld mixer for mixing. The chopper attachment on the end of the plastic stirrer is perfect.
Start by adding a little of your matter to the powder. The mix will quickly become very thick. Add the water gradually.
By the time you have added half you should have a thick stirrable mix.
Whizz this a bit and then slowly add the rest of the water.
I use bottled water to avoid having to put chlorine up my bum.
The bubbles in the sparkling water help the dispersion process.
Pour the mixture into a clean plastic bowl.
Microwaving the mixture speeds the dispersion process up.
500 ml of J Lube will boil in about 4 minutes in a 1000 W microwave.
After bringing to the boil stand to cool.

The whole job will take you about 10 minutes.
Handmixing takes an age.

J-lube can be easily frozen and keeps well if you decide to make larger quantities.
I find that half a litre is about perfect for one fisting session.

J-Lube (and K-Lube) is available from most adult stores catering to gays. K-Lube is also available from veterinary suppliers.
To make a litre of J-Lube, measure out 100 cc into a mixing bowl (best size about 1.5 litres)
Take a large unopened bottle of sparkling water (no added sugar or flavours).
Add about quarter a litre to the powder in the bowl.
Stir with a handheld mixer (using the chopping attachment)
Gradually add the sparkling water (one litre)
Stir until smooth.
This takes about 5 minutes
There will be a lot of bubbles in the mix.
If you simply leave it to stand the bubbles will disperse in about 5 to 6 hours.
If you put the mix in the microwave and heat, the bubbles will disperse immediately
A litre takes 5 to 10 minutes to come to the boil in the microwave
Avoid allowing the mix to boil over as it's not easy to clean up afterwards.

K-lube is a competing English product. It's a bit easier to mix as it's granulated. It is also available in a mentholated version.

I use silicon to get started off and J-Lube for the major work.
I don't care for Crisco, one because it stains, two because it rots toys, and three because if you leave fat inside your bowel you get terrible wind the next day.

I don't mix my own lube. Guess I must be rich, lazy or clueless.

For fisting and big insertions, I've always been very happy with the Thick version of Probe lube, both for anal (me) and for vaginal  (my partner).

Not heard of Probe Lube before. Is it water-based?

I've only used Astroglide.  Recently, I've been using the Astroglide Gel, which I like a lot more then the regular stuff, but I use the regular stuff with a syringe to inject inside.

I have no experience with J or K-Lube, because I do not have a living situation where I can mix it, or store it.

I would like to purchase some pre-mixed K-Lube, but I have not had time, or the funds.

J-Lube is US made, but is widely available in Europe as well.
According to a member of the previous forum you could get in OZ too.
There is British equivalent called K-Lube which is similar but slightly easier to mix.
J-Lube is a white powder (polyethylene and sucrose), you add the water yourself. It's very cheap.

Crisco is also known as shortening or cooking fat. Good for making biscuits! It's a US brand but because of it's mythical status can be brought in Europe too. It's fat-based.

Astroglide is water-based, but I don't know if it's US or not.

KY is a Johnson and Johnson product. International. Water based, not very slippery

Sensilube, made by Durex, European. Expensive, water based

Pjur, Eros, X-Men, all silicon-based oils. Very slippery, European, silicon (attacks silicon rubber, but ok for contraceptives)
Gun Oil is a US equivalent.

There are many more lubricants available. Check out adult stores.
And keep watching this space!
