We use Albolene as a base on the hands before the J-Lube.  As I've noted before, the blender chops up the long strings in J-Lube so that is somewhat less slick.  We've used it both ways, but I prefer the stringy, slippery feel of J-Lube that has been mixed with soda water and boiled in the microwave oven.  Damn! Just thinking about it gets me going.  'Gonna have to schedule a session soon.

After trying a bunch of different lubes over the years, I settled on ID Glide. Lasts well for a water based lube, relatively easy to clean up, doesn't have a funny smell or cause irritation for me.

Note that I prefer the regular ID Glide...NOT the "Pleasure Sensual". I tried that, and found it mildly irritating.
