Oh yeah, here in the great state of NewYork, you can still buy the popular brands of poppers in your freindly neighborhood ABS, but they are they " NEW " formula wich is nowhere as good as the old formula. However on a trip to new york city i was pleased to find original formula still being sold! We bought half a dozen bottles to bring home!

this is the second person who claims that poppers cut off oxygen to the brain.
poppers are a type of ester. an organic acidic compound.

before purchasing poppers, i did a serious investigation into the effects of them.
poppers (nitrites) make smooth muscle tissue relax. this includes anal sphincters, vaginal muscles, and the muscles around your circulatory system.
all these muscles relax, and thus dilate. including blood vessels, resulting in excess oxygen to the brain (and sex organs), causing feelings of euphoria and happiness due to an oxygen overload.

because blood vessels dilate and blood pressure is lowered, many men lose erections. also, heart rate is greatly raised. this used in conjunction any drugs that further lower blood pressure or further raise your rapid heart rate is really ill-advised and stupid.

the nitrites have the vasodilatory effects of marijuana (its the same rush). however, the nitrites in poppers are bonded with an organic substance, nitrites without this substance have no effect on the human body.

the organic half of the compound quickly breaks up in the human system (in the course of 3 minutes) thus (so i read) it is untraceable by standard drug tests like marijuana is.

i also read that poppers act as a mild desensitizer, as a side effect due to the abundance of oxygen or something like that. however i have forgotten the technical reason why, so i will not argue why it may be true.

depending on the type of person, and the age of the poppers, some people get massive headaches due to the oxygen rush. (when they are new, they smell "good", when they are old they smell like dirty socks) i however, have never had a headache from poppers. my girlfriends minor headache was intensified instantly.

I have to say that I am generaly anti drugs. Don't get me wrong if I could take the stuff with out if messing up my body, without any bad side effects, then I wouldn't have a problem. But as that is not the case, even with canabis, so I am against drugs. I have seen the effects on too many people to say it is up to the individual. We have Laws to try and make sure we do what is best for us and others even if we don't always agree. In the UK not many people wore seat belts in cars until it was made law. Sometimes we need a law to tell us what is best for us because the individual doesn't always make the best choice of thier own accord....seat belts again. Next is the issue of the State having to pick up the pieces and pay for the treatment of drug users and all the other related costs to society. Lastly there is the issue of organised crime and international terrorism. Hard drugs fund both of these. The Nazi Klaus Barbie was living in South America living off drug money until he was caught in the 1980's for example.
So as you can see I am anti 'Drugs' interms of those drugs that have the above effects on the individual, the State, crime and the General Good. I make this clear first so that it can be seen in perpsective, by anyone researching the subject, when I say I love poppers. I use them all the time and love them for fisting. Rush is my prefered choice at present but after what Grim said I will give Blue Boy a go. Poppers have none of the bad effects of other 'drugs' but can really enhance a sexual experience.

Having said all this I am not judging anyone just expressing my opinion and sharing my experience.
