Whenever I post new, or reply to a post I cant see what I'm writing. Why is my background black.. I can change the color of font, but not the background. This makes it hard to edit what I write ...not being able to see it and all. Is there a way to change it???

Unfortunately you cant change the back ground it can only be done by admin.
It is very hard to see what your writing I agree, it was asked by members if it could be changed but nothing happened.
If I log in from work, it is very dark and like you I can't see what i'm typing to get around this I type my posts in word then cut and paste it in to the reply box. Very annoying but make life easy.
On my home pc the gray is not to dark so I can use the normal reply box

I agree - it's not black, but it's very dark gray with black text, and I've never understood why they've decided to make the reply box so dark like that. It's extremely hard to read.

Well, if the administrator is interested in feedback on how to make this a better site. he "or" they might just change this one little thing. I know they cant make every change averyone wants, and I am greatful to be able to exchange posts and check out all the home made vidios, kudo's to the for that!! but this would make it a little easier to edit as you post so that you dont look like a total iliteate...btw. I am not going to self edit this post because I cant see it anyways.. I hope it's not too hacked up

This site used to be well moderated and well maintained. It appears the current moderator has been absent for whatever reason. I wish the owner would choose a new moderator or two to bring things back to the way they were. That would be great, but will it happen? Don't hold your breath.

I agree. It's too dark to see.
To check my spelling and what I have typed, I hilight the text, which turns it white with a blue background, at least then you can see and correct any mistakes.

Fist’s has nothing to do with how the site looks that is done by the owners and software geeks’. It is annoying I agree having the dark background, but I there is nothing he can do about it. Complaining on how he looks after the forum and how it is run is not justified in this situation. |

I was not complaining about Fists at all. Please don't misunderstand. He did a wonderful job while he was here, but the fact is he is not around much anymore. I don't know whether that is due to him being busy on other life issues, he burned out and is tired of the site, or whatever the reason is. But he is no longer here and this site is no longer moderated or maintained the way it used to be. Spammers post crap, rules are no longer enforced, and I miss that. It has been suggested that another moderator be selected that has the time to take care of the site, but that has not happened either. This site is pretty much on autopilot. That's just the way it is.

I am here everyday, I remove spam when I find it, as soon as I find it. I don't post much anymore, as I spend all of my spare time removing spam posts. Spammers will always post crap, when I find it I remove it and them.No, I am not here as much as I once was, I have other duties within the company. no not burned out, just limited time, today was my first day off from my regular job in months and I have spent 6 hours of it here. The rest of the day has been spent cleaning my house, cooking, doing laundry and caring for my invalid wife. Now, on to the gray screen, my vision is not good, and no, I don't like it, but until I can get the admin to change it, I am stuck with it just like the rest of you

Hey, way to crap on the mods. If it's such an easy job, why don't you do it? Stuff like that really pisses me off. THANK YOU FISTS. If you took the care to read my post you would realize that I was not busting on the mods.
Let's take a look at the facts.
When I posted this, there were several problems going on here...
It was hard to post. You could type a post, and the hit submit, and you would get an error and the post would not go through.
You couldn't give karma. Try and you would often get an error.
Spam was being posted and was not getting removed in a timely manner.
People would constantly break the rules, such as posting links, and they were not corrected.
I have seen this happen to other boards and they often go under sooner or later when this happens. Look at what has happened to the pee forum.
Fortunately things have turned around and things are working well, other than this dark post box.
I have moderated a forum in the past and I do realize it is a hard job. I thanks Fists for the great job he is doing even though he is not as active in the posts anymore.
